Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of this exciting, mini-season.

What is Mini Lobster Season?
Why Key West?

Tips for a Successful Mini Lobster Season

1. Know the Regulations: It’s crucial to familiarize yourself with the rules and regulations. In Key West, the daily bag limit is 6 lobsters per person. Lobsters must have a carapace length of more than 3 inches.
2. Gear Up: Ensure you have the right gear, including a lobster tickle stick, net, gloves, and a measuring device. A dive flag is also required to mark your position and ensure safety.

3. Best Spots: Some of the best spots to hunt for lobsters in Key West include the coral reefs and rocky outcrops around the island. Local favorites are the Western Sambo Reef and the deeper waters off the coast, where lobsters tend to hide during the day.
